Long bio

Abheejit Khandagale is a social innovation technologist from Nagpur, India, who has spent a decade building AI-powered learning and entrepreneurship infrastructure where conventional systems don't reach: tier-II cities, informal economies, and refugee contexts. He is the co-founder of ekatra, a WhatsApp-based, offline-first AI microlearning platform serving 35,000+ learners across South Asia and in UNHCR deployments, and the founder of REIN Global (previously Vruksh), a collective building infrastructure for impact entrepreneurship. As Digital Solutions Director at Catalyst Now, a global network of 4,250+ social innovation organizations, he saw how badly impact organizations lack shared data infrastructure. That gap, and his understanding of how livelihoods form at the edges of the global economy, led him to build SAGE at Si Labs: a community-intelligence layer that turns grassroots signals into actionable data for funders and policymakers. A World Economic Forum UpLink Top Innovator, an Amazon Now Go Build CTO Fellow under Dr. Werner Vogels, and a U.S. Department of State Professional Fellow, Abheejit brings a rare combination of grassroots deployment experience and global systems thinking.
